Incoterms Explained
What each Incoterm covers, and which ones we support.

Terms we support
We quote under the Incoterms® 2020 rules. The terms available for a specific order depend on the product, the destination and the carrier, and are confirmed in your quotation.
Risk transfer points
EXW — risk passes at our premises. FOB — risk passes when the goods are loaded on board at the port of shipment. CIF/CFR — risk passes on board, while we arrange and pay freight (and insurance, under CIF) to the destination port. DDP — risk and import clearance pass to the buyer only after delivery at the named place.
Cost allocation
The term decides which side pays export clearance, main freight, insurance, import duties and destination charges. Dangerous-goods surcharges and any special packaging are quoted separately and stated in the quotation.
Choosing a term
Buyers with their own freight forwarder and import capability usually prefer EXW or FOB. Buyers without import experience often prefer CIF or DDP. If you are unsure, tell us your destination and we will quote the options that are practical for that route.
